Labor & Birth Doula

As your labor & birth doula, I will show up by your side as a grounded, nurturing and safe companion. I will offer you emotional support, healing touch, practical tools, and words of encouragement & empowerment. I will act as your advocate, guardian and ally throughout the birthing process, and support the birth journey of your choice. I will provide resources, techniques and up-to-date information. I will always be just a text or phone call away.

Package Includes:

Three prenatal visits (1-2 hours each) to:

  • Help clarify your birth preferences & vision

  • Share informational resources & tools and basic childbirth education

  • Practice various techniques and positions for labor & birth and pain management

  • Discuss what’s on your heart and mind: hopes, wishes, fears, nerves, worries, desires, needs, whatever you wish to share and be held & witnessed in regarding your birth

  • Create your personalized postpartum plan

On-call 24/7 from 37 weeks to 42 weeks to:

  • Respond to text and phone call support with any questions or concerns that arise

  • Join you and support you during labor at home (and birth at home if you are having a home birth)

  • Help you decide when to go to the hospital or birth center, if applicable

  • Accompany you to hospital, or birth center or wherever you choose to birth

  • Support you during the immediate postpartum transition

In-person, professional support during active labor & delivery with back-up doula support, whom you will meet ahead of time.

One postpartum visit to:

  • Process your birth experience

  • Provide emotional support, lactation guidance, & herbs for healing and recovery

  • Offer ritual & ceremony to close out your birth portal and integrate into life with a newborn

  • Offer any needed referrals, such as lactation consultant, chiropractors, massage therapist, local new parent groups, etc.

The rate for labor & birth doula services is offered at a wide sliding scale from $2000-$3000. This helps accommodate people at different income levels, entrusting the clients to choose the place on the scale that accurately represents their access to resources.
