Hello! My name is Adi Aboody (she/her pronouns)— I’m a mother, birth-worker, herbalist and community weaver. I believe that the body is deeply wise, resilient and beautiful. I believe every birthing family, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, body type, age, religion, legal status or lifestyle choice, has a right to a positive, inspiring and empowered birth experience. I am dedicated to shifting the culture around birth and parenthood to be more integrated, supported and holy, one family at a time.
As your doula, I am a steady, calming and grounding touchstone for you throughout your birthing journey. I remind you of your own strength, inner-knowing and grace. I am here as a trusted ally, advocate & resource for you. I help you get organized, feel prepared and confident. I help you create a vision, and invite you to trust the process. I reflect your power, hold you through challenge, and respect your choices. I celebrate in joy, I honor the pain, I show up with care. I am on your team as you navigate the terrain of having a baby in this wildly complex, modern world.
I fold in herbalism, body work, prayer and holistic nutrition into my doula practice. I love to offer homemade herbal remedies, massage, and overall nervous system & emotional support to my clients.
I approach with an open heart, curious mind and strong intuition. I have an innate capacity to trust and empathize, am a clear and honest communicator, and want to see you thrive.
As a new mother myself, having gone through pregnancy, birth and postpartum (the ongoing journey), I intimately know the ways in which birth takes you on an emotional, physical and spiritual ride. Throughout my experience, I learned firsthand just how valuable and transformational it is to feel and know that I am solidly supported. My aim to provide deeply personalized care to everyone I work with, and to bring a sense of love, nurturance, respect and wonder to all who find themselves in this powerful portal of birth.
I proudly prioritize working with BIPOC, queer, inter-faith and/or inter-racial families. I am also proficient in Spanish and Hebrew.
I am honored to be a part of your birth story.
